start with lows in the lower double digits and feel like temperatures below zero. skies will stay mostly clear for today. even though we will have the sun for today, temperatures will only climb to around 20 degrees. that is approximately 10 degrees below average for this time of year. the clouds will move back in for tonight which could cause a few flurries. the better chance for snow will return friday afternoon into friday night. most of the area will receive just a light dusting where some of us could see closer to a quarter to half an inch (mostly in southeastern mn). roads could become a little slick for friday night and saturday morning. the weekend will remain cold with highs only in the mid 20's to start, but then by sunday things warm up into the mid and upper 30's. both saturday and sunday will be partly cloudy and snow free. by the start of next week, snow chances will return. accumulations will be staying light to a dusting as temperatures stay cold. today: mostly sunny. highs: near 20. winds: west? northwest at 10 to 15 mph. tonight: mostly cloudy/some flurries possible. lows: mid to upper teens. winds: west at 5 to 10 mph. friday: mostly cloudy/light pm snow. thanks jon.
