the cause has iowa leads the nation in students graduating high school... thats according to the iowa department of education. kimt's news 3 stefante randall spoke to one local high school in out area on how they are making sure their students are graduating and receiving resourceful information. she joins us live now in mason city. stefante?xxx arielle ? according to the iowa department of education ? the 20?16 graduation rates in iowa have increased for the past six years.... leading the nation. this year ? 91.3 percent of students in the class of 20?16 completed high school within four years in the state of iowa. mason city high school principal dan long says their goal is to make sure that students are collge and career ready. they do this by providing students with the resources through a partnership with niacc which has played a role in successful graduatin that's something that's a real advantage to our students just a tremendous community college here just a mile away from us and so being able to have partnerships with niacc and just look to continuwe to create the goal mindset of there is anext step of continung to move on beyond high shcool i think that is powerful." dan says the four year data for graduation rates for mason city high school was 95.7 percent graduation minnesota had a graduation total of 82.2 percent for the 2016 school year.///
