The regular season is now complete for just about every men's and women's team across the country, that includes Danielle Wubbens and the Uni Women.
For Wubbens, a former star at Charles City, her 4 years as a Panther have flown bye, including Senior Day on Saturday.
"Something that I'm really going to cherish and take with me, is the friendship's that I've made. Our team is so unbelievably close and I think a lot of teams don't have that," says Wubbens.
Wubbens is closing out her career with the Panthers, in a different way than she did in Charles City. A 3 year starter has seen Danielle, mature and grow into an important role player her senior year.
"In high school, I was more of a scorer, that's definetly not the case anymore. I'm more of a defensive person, and I'm completely fine with that, it doesn't bother me," says Wubbens.
Division One basketball is a step up in competition. A step that Wubbens has made successfully and on senior day it's a memory she will remember forever.
"All five players on the floor are a threat. In high school, you get one good player per team, or two, and in college, all five girls that you are playing against, were the best on their team, and now they are the best on that team," says Wubbens
While senior day is an emotional time for Daneille, she knows her work is not done. She'll play an important role, in the Panthers trip to the Valley Tournament.
"Knowing that we are not going to play another game in the Mcleod is going to be weird. But, you don't have much time to think about it, because you have that tournament, and that is a huge opportunity for us," says Wubbens.
Danielle and the Panthers receive the 5 seed in next weeks MVC Conference Tournament. They will take on fourth seeded Bradley Friday Afternoon in St. Charles Missouri.
