There may be no hotter team in the NAHL's Central Division heading into the stretch run than the Albert Lea Thunder.
Chuck Linkenheld and company are fresh off a 3 game weekend sweep of the Outlaws, that vaulted them into playoff position.

Albert Lea has won six of their last seven games, and now hold a three point lead for the final central division playoff spot.
The guys say, they had confidence going into last weekend's series, and it paid off with the  big three game sweep.

"You learn from winning.  You have to do the little things in order to win and you have to be consistent with those little things.  I think it's important that the guys get a few wins under their belt, to know how it feels," says Chuck Linkenheld, Albert Lea Hockey Coach.

"We turned the team around 3 weeks ago.  From that point we were still pretty close in the race, and I knew we had to kind of buckle it down, and start winning games. If we wanted to make it, it started being really important then," says Brian Nehring, Albert Lea Forward.

The Thunder return to action this Friday when they host the North Iowa Outlaws.
