Chuck Linkenheld long time coach from Chicago has joined the Albert Lea Thunder as the New Head Coach and Scout.

Chuck is a graduate and former captain at Merrimack College where he played under current Chicago Blackhawks Director of Player Recruitment Ron Anderson and Washington Capitols NHL Assistant Coach Jay Leach.  Chuck has guided many players to junior and college hockey in his 20 years of coaching.  Many of those players are currently playing on division 1 and division 3 teams throughout the United States, such as; Notre Dame, North Dakota, New Hampshire, Alaska, Boston, Merrimack, Harvard, Princeton, Wisconsin, Michigan State and more.

Chuck's relationship in the Midwest Tier 1 Elite league and in the east will be an asset to the recruiting and placement of our players.  Chuck's business experience combined with over 1000 games coached will be a great addition to our coaching staff.   We are proud to have an opportunity to have a coach such as Chuck join our staff and with the experience that he brings to our program and knowledge of college recruiters will for sure assist in helping our players advance, stated owner Barry Soskin.

Chuck conducted 2 back to back on-ice sessions  today (Tuesday) to get acquainted with his new team before they head to play a 3 game series against Topeka, Roadrunners in Kansas starting Thursday - Saturday.
