Milwaukee, WI
I most likely caught Brad Nelson at the toughest time of the day.
Thursday afternoon, around 1:50 CST. His former team, the Milwaukee Brewers, were in the middle of an afternoon game with Florida.
After starting the season 0-for-21, Nelson received news late Wednesday night that he would be cut from the active roster. Nelson can either accept an assignment to triple-a Nashville, or ask to be a free agent.
"Technically I can't talk with other teams yet," Nelson said. "I have to decide if I want to play with the Brewers (organization). 'There's a lot of things up in the air that I don't even know what to do."
Nelson didn't make excuses about his performance at the plate.
"It was a learning process at a position that I never been at. I basically didn't get the job done and didn't get anything going in a game that you need to produce. I guess its a lot tougher than I thought it would be," Nelson said. "This isn't the end of it and we'll go from here."
