The Iowa State Football Team, opened a few eyes in their week one win over North Dakota State.
On their schedule for week two, the Iowa Hawkeyes.
Paul Rhoads' guys are hoping to build off their progress from their 2009 debut, in hopes of getting ready for this state's biggest game.
"The bottom line is there is room for improvement in every phase of our program, and that is and always will be the expectation in the first season as we have taken over," says Rhoads.
"In the second half, we came out better and completed some balls and Marquis Hamilton made some plays for us," says Junior QB Austen Arnaud
But week one is now in the books, and Saturday's game against Iowa, is on a different level.
"I think we are going to approach this game, just like any other game, obviously with it being an instate rivalvry game against the Hawkeyes, it's a big football game," says Michael O'Connell, ISU Junior DB.
Come Saturday, the fans will yell, the players will play, and the coaches will coach, and this state's bragging rights will be on the line
"A super bowl? No it's not a Super bowl.  It's an Iowa State-Iowa football game," says Ben Frere, ISU Junior DL.
Kickoff is scheduled for 11:05 a.m. this Saturday.
