Seven caught in Rochester prostitution sting

Police say men responded to an online ad offering sex for money.

ROCHESTER, Minn. – Seven men have been arrested in a prostitution sting.

The Criminal Interdiction Unit of the Rochester Police Department says it placed an ad on backpage.com with a photo of a woman in lingerie that said “No Cheap Guys.”

Police say seven men responded to the ad and agreed to meet up and pay for sex. All are facing gross misdemeanor charges of soliciting prostitution. The men are:

57-year-old Todd Bosell of Marblehead, Massachusetts.

44-year-old Ricardo Rivas of Mantorville.

37-year-old Timothy Vonneupert of New Prague.

39-year-old Nicholas Severson of Pine Island.

31-year-old James Bacon of Pine Island.

32-year-old Rakan Alhourani of Rochester.

66-year-old Richard Herting of Fr. Meyers, Florida.
