WORTH COUNTY, Iowa – A dispute over what two people wanted to watch on television escalated into a woman being choked and a man facing a felony domestic abuse charge, authorities said.
Jack Greenwood, of Northwood, is being held in the Worth County Jail after an incident Monday night in the 900 block of 9th Ave. N. and is being charged with felony domestic abuse.
The woman said “Jack was trying to get her to watch all of the unlabeled VCR recordings and they got into an argument about it,” the criminal complaint stated.
As the argument escalated, the woman claimed she pointed a spoon at Greenwood and accidently got a hot liquid on his face before Greenwood “pushed her down twice, hitting her in the face and grabbing her throat and applying pressure.”
