MITCHELL COUNTY, Iowa- The Mitchell County Board of Supervisors got heated Tuesday with around a dozen residents expressing outrage over what they say are non-answered questions.

The meeting started out with questions about the Port Authority, which is a commission including Cerro Gordo County, Mitchell County and Worth County.

Many expressed an interest in increasing the number of supervisors to five as a way to have more representation.

They also discussed an email which was sent out by Supervisor Stan Walk to former House Rep. Josh Brynes, where Walk stated that Brynes was meddling in the Port Authority’s projects and then threatened him.

Those in the community say they want more transparency out of their elected officials.

“It sounds pretty suspicious to me,” said Russ Brandau, of Osage. “When Stan was asked more about the project he didn’t give any answers that we wanted to hear. I feel like they are divulging information.”

There is much more to this story that we are working on. KIMT News 3’s Brian Tabick will have more as it develops.
