Clear Lake garage fire leaves behind thousands of dollars in damage

The Clear Lake Police Department was first on scene and saw smoke and flames coming from a garage, located at 204 10th Avenue South.

CLEAR LAKE, Iowa - A garage fire is leaving one resident with $25,000 in damage.

The Clear Lake Fire Department responded to 204 10th Avenue South for a structure fire, just before 10:00 a.m. Saturday.

The Clear Lake Police Department was first on scene and saw smoke and flames coming from a garage.

After knocking down the fire, officials say everything inside the garage was a total loss. No one was injured.

Authorities are still investigating what caused the fire.
