Woman Walks Away from Rollover Wreck

SWALEDALE, IA---A Cerro Gordo County woman walks away from her Jeep Grand Cherokee after hitting a bridge and rolling into a ditch.

Deputies said Viola Jane Myhre, 55 of Rockwell was Westbound on County Road B-60, just East of Lark Avenue near Swaledale at around 1:30 p.m. Thursday afternoon.

Myhre told authorities she hydroplaned before hitting a guardrail on the bridge.

Sheriff Kevin Pals said Myhre's claim could not be substantiated by law enforcement because there was no heavy rain on law enforcement's arrival.

Pals said alcohol is not a factor and no charges are being filed at this time.

Myhre was wearing a seatbelt.
