MASON CITY, IA---A Mason City
woman didn't have far to go for medical treatment following a 2 car accident.
Merle George Strahorn, 70, of Hampton said he was Westbound on 4th Street Southwest on Tuesday afternoon at around 3 p.m.
Strahorn said he had a green light as a minivan pulled in front of him onto Mercy Drive in front of Mercy Medical Center North Iowa.
Strahorn's car broadsided the van driven by Corrine Butler, 79, of Mason City.
Butler was Eastbound on 4th Street and making a left turn.
Police said Butler no longer had a green left turn arrow when she pulled into the intersection.
The collision caused Butler's van to roll on its side.
Butler was transported to Mercy's emergency room.
She was treated and released.
Police cited her for failure to yield on a left turn.
Strahorn was unhurt.
