Two Hurt in Highway 65 Crash

MASON CITY, IA---Two people are recovering with bumps and bruises following a crash in Cerro Gordo County, just North of Mason City.

The Iowa State Patrol reported a car was Southbound on Highway 65 just before 4 p.m., On Sunday afternoon.

A second car driven by Margaret Hanson, 58, of Osage pulled out in front of it at the intersection of County Road B-20 and was hit on the driver's side door.

Driver Jesse Jacobs, 21, of Olwein and his passenger Tanya Swanton, 23, of Clarksville, were taken to a Mason City hospital.

They were complaining of back and neck pain.

Hanson was apparently not hurt.

The State Patrol reported Hanson failed to yield the right of way.
