ALBERT LEA – The trial for one of two Rochester men arrested on theft charges earlier this month in Albert Lea is scheduled for March 1.

Shane Lawrence Williams, 19, is charged with two felony counts of receiving stolen property (one count involving a handgun and one involving property valued between $1,000 and $5,000).

Williams and Jordan Scott Hoffman, 18, were charged on Jan. 10 after an Albert Lea resident reported seeing suspicious activity from the vehicle they were driving. The vehicle was stopped a short time later by the Albert Lea Police Department and the stolen property was found. Hoffman has not yet entered a plea.

According to the Freeborn County Clerk of Court’s Office, a pre-trial conference is set for Feb. 25 and a jury trial for March 1.
