Trial Date Set on Eluding Charge

MASON CITY, IA---A trial date is now set for a Liberty, Missouri man accused of leading state troopers on a high speed chase

Terry Ansel Lee is charged with attempting to avoid arrest after authorities tried to pull him over on Interstate 35 last June in Franklin County.

They say that speeds reached up to 152 miles per hour before a trooper used his cruiser to knock Lee off his motorcycle when he took an exit near Burchinal in Cerro Gordo County.

Lee has pleaded not guilty.

His trial for the eluding charged is scheduled for the October 19.

He could face more than $1,700 dollars in fines if convicted on the 3 speeding tickets that resulted from the case.
