The days after Thanksgiving mean many things: lots of holiday shopping--and for plenty of people--time to get a Christmas tree.We stopped by one area tree farm as they prepared for this weekend's rush.
At Aldrich Tree Farm in Belmond they typically sell close to half of their total for the entire season this weekend. “We'll have probably four or five hundred cars of people with usually the backseats full of kids,” said Lee Aldrich, the owner of the farm.
Aldrich said they typically sell about 1000 trees a year.
He said they'll also have hayrides, popcorn and hot cider this weekend to help welcome the Christmas season. They’ll be open from noon until dark every day until Christmas Eve, starting with this Friday.
