Supervisors Move Ahead Plans for Safer Train Crossing

Cerro Gordo County, IA-An area county is moving forward with plans to make a train crossing safer.

The Cerro Gordo County supervisors said they will help pay for gates and lights at railroad crossing south west of Rockwell. It's located at 130th Street between Olive and Nettle Avenue.

The County is partnering with Union Pacific Railroad and the Iowa Department of Transportation.

The County will contribute only five percent of the funding. The Supervisors expect to accecept a bid next meeting.
