ROCHESTER, MN---Several veterans are still smiling about their journey of a lifetime this past weekend.

On Saturday night 107 World War 2 veterans returned to the Rochester airport following a whirlwind trip to the nation's capitol.

The Honor Flight took them to see several places and monuments in Washington, DC.

Most importantly, the group that included 6 vets from Cresco, Iowa got to see the World War 2 memorial, which was created in their honor.

"Oh that was great it's the greatest thing I ever seen really just takes your breath away to look at it," said Al Evans who is a vet from Le Roy, Minnesota.

Southern Minnesota organizers said they are already planning to put together another Honor Flight for next April.
