CLEAR LAKE, IA - Another project in Clear Lake is just wrapping up.
Crews are putting the finishing touches on South Shore Drive.
The stretch of road needed sewer work and repaving, but city leaders say, it's costing a little more than expected.
Some late add-ons are tacking about ten percent more onto the original bill.
"Also, then we had the additions of the on-street parking bump-outs as we refer to them, so those were some of the reasons, primarily for the additional cost," said city administrator Scott Flory.
The project is being paid for on about a 60-40 split between the city and private landowners; assessments will be published in the Clear Lake newspaper next week.
