Mason City, IA- Tis' the season for helping out those in need and area shelters are looking for your help.
Women living at the Trinity House of Hope Shelter in Mason City are getting ready for their annual Sharing and Caring at Christmas fundraiser.
They usually sell just quilts, but this year they're adding holiday baskets and decorative wreaths to their sale.
The director of the Northern Lights Alliance for the Homeless says the need for help for the homeless is greater this time of year than ever.
"It takes a lot to run these shelters, we have five shelters now and so it's very costly and with the economy the way it is today we are completely full in all of the shelters," Northern Lights Alliance for the Homeless Director Joey Van Zomeran.
They're holding the fundraiser the day after thanksgiving at the Southbridge Mall. The wreaths vary in price, starting at roughly $25.
