Rude's Position on School Board
AUSTIN--- Members of the Austin school board are moving forward with the removal of one of their own.
Board chair Dick Lees said the resolution to oust Curt Rude has nothing to do with his felony drug conviction, but more to do with the civil suit Rude filed against the district.
Lees said it’s creating a conflict of interest. This is just the first step in Rude's removal.
Next, the board will host a public hearing on the issue February 16.
