ROSE CREEK, MN--Residents of one small Minnesota town say a local paper blew complaints about a run-down house out of proportion.
Residents in Rose Creek are angry this week after a local paper ran a story about an unfinished house.
A city council member said they have received complaints about the appearance of the house.
He also said the owner had agreed to finish building the house by now, but that the city was letting that deadline lapse because of financial troubles.
The mother of the owner, Clara Baker, says they had no idea anyone had complained about the house.
"I don't ever remember anybody doing anything until we had this report and I was never so surprised in my life," said Baker.The city council member says the owner has cleaned up the house considerably since the article ran.
