ROCHESTER – A day after a U.S. Bankruptcy Court ruled against operators of The Chateau 14 Theatre in Rochester, a Florida-based company announced plans to re-opening a high tech movie house.
The ruling comes as a result of a lease dispute between MN Theatres 2006 LLC and Midwest Theatres Corp. According to court documents, Midwest Theatres was ordered to remove all personal property by Jan. 28.
Today Paragon Theaters announced that it has acquired the property with plans of major renovation.
New plans for the theater include the installation of all-digital Sony 4k projection, premier and reserve seating, 3D screens, theater lobby renovations, expanded food options and the addition of a bar.
The new owners say the theater will re-open in late-February, or early March.
