AUSTIN, MN - The city of Austin is thinking pink.
It's hard to miss the pink flags and ribbons that are lining Main Street in Downtown Austin. It's all part of their Paint the Town Pink campaign.
The Austin Convention and Visitors Bureau is teaming up with the Austin Bruins and the Hormel Institute for four days of events supporting breast cancer research.
"The event will really help create awareness of breast cancer research, breast cancer awareness. And just to see the flags flying on Main Street and the ribbons, people in Austin cannot miss what's going on with pink, it's everywhere," said Austin Convention and Visitors Bureau Executive Director Cheryl Corey.
