Osage, IA- One person is dead and three others are hurt after a crash on highway 9 in Mitchell County.
The Iowa State Patrol says the van pulled out from Foothill Avenue just west of Osage, IA.
The car then struck the side of the van sending both vehicles in the ditch.

The state patrol says fog may have been a factor.
"General driving tip, when it's foggy out slow down pay attention to where you're at cause things can pop on you fast, you may not realize where you are at," said Iowa State Patrol Sergeant Dana Knutson.
The Iowa State Patrol is not releasing the name of the person who died at this time.
No charges are being filed.
