ALBERT LEA, Minn. -- Folks in Albert Lea got glimpse at where their city stands heading into the New Year.
Mayor Vern Rasmussen Jr. And city manager Chad Adams held a state of the city address last week.
Topics included highlights of the past year, the 2012 budget and what changes folks can expect this year.
Adams says the address is important to make sure everyone is up to date on what’s happening in Albert Lea.
"The primary focus was simply to declare where we are at right now in terms of the financial health of the city with the economic times we are having with LGA and market credit changes, just how the city is doing,” Albert Lea City Manager Chad Adams said.
The state of the city address will air on Albert Lea’s government access channel at 7 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday and Friday and Tuesday and Thursday at 9 a.m.
