Riders of RAGBRAI are now well on their way to the final stop of Dubuque, but while they were here they behaved themselves.

Cerro Gordo County Sheriff Kevin Pals said no major incidents happened while cyclists were in the county.

He said making sure riders got into and out of the county safely was the department's biggest concern.

Motorists also cooperated well with the added traffic.

"I think for the most part most motor vehicle traffic was very patient and considerate of the bikers and we tried to get them through the intersections as quickly as we could," said Pals.

Pals added the biggest issues in Cerro Gordo were biker-on-biker collisions and dealing with the heat.
