CERRO GORDO COUNTY, IA - We have a correction to pass along.
While the H1N1 virus, more commonly known as the swine flu, is now in the region, it's not hitting as close to home as we originally thought.
Earlier Friday morning, the Iowa Department of Public Health was reporting 1 case of H1N1 in Cerro Gordo County.
Now it appears that's not the case.
They have retracted that saying there are still no cases in the county, however there are cases elsewhere in the near-by area.
1 case is confirmed in Chickasaw County as well as 2 in Hardin.
These cases now bring the total number of confirmed cases in Iowa to around 90.
Minnesota's Department of Public Health is reporting 49 confirmed cases.
