MASON CITY, IA-A local task force group responsible for researching a multi-purpose facility is making sure they get accurate results.
There's a survey going out to the people of Mason City. It asks whether or not they want to see a multi-purpose center in town.
The website was set to allow one person to submit their answer multiple times, but after complaints and concerns, that's been changed.
City Administrator Brent Trout said the original idea was to include those who might share or use public computers.
However they did find that their results were coming back a little un-even, so now an IP address can send back answers only once.
Trout said, "that prevents anyone from answering multiple surveys from the same computer, the problem that it does create though is now the public if they are not the first to sit down at a computer and fill out a survey, they have to go to another computer or fill it out by mail."
Trout said the task force will be making a trip to the Waterloo area soon to visit the Young Arena and find out how a multi-purpose center impacts a community.
