Icy Conditions Blamed for Crash

Rudd, IA- Icy conditions are being blamed for a crash that killed one man and left two others hurt

It happened Wednesday morning just east of the town of Rudd, on the Avenue of Saints. The Iowa State Patrol said a pickup driven by Trey Henry of Arkansas was westbound just before 7:30am. Investigators think it hit a patch of ice and rolled into the median and landed into the oncoming lanes of traffic. Everyone inside was tossed out.

Trey Henry died from his injuries. Kassie Austin is in critical condition at Mercy Medical Center North Iowa. Rocksana Henry is being transferred to another hospital.

None of three were wearing a seatbelt.
