MASON CITY, IA--- A man wanted in the state of Minnesota is arrested in Mason City.
On Tuesday evening, a Mason City Police officer was conducting a traffic stop in the 2880 block of 4th Street Southwest.
He identified a passenger in the vehicle as a person with an outstanding felony warrant.
Officers took Lewis James Smith, 24 into custody.
Smith is listed on the Dakota County, Minnesota Sheriff's web site as a person from Mason City.
He is wanted there on a felony charge of Malicious Punishment of a Child.
The arrest warrant was issued on November 6, 2009.
He is being held without bond at the Cerro Gordo County Jail and will be sent back to Minnesota.
