Ventura, IA- Thousands of area students are getting protected this flu season. Kids in the Ventura School District are getting the H1N1 Vaccine. It's all part of a clinic set up by the Cerro Gordo County Department of Public Health. Parents are giving their permission for health care workers to vaccinate their children.

Karen Crimmings is one of those helping protect kids. She says, "Ninety-nine percent

Other schools in the county are up next for getting the vaccine out to children.

of kids are handling it well. The few that are upset, once they figure out it's the mist and there's no problem they're fine, too. So, I would suspect when we go back to do the second doses, the children will feel much more better about it."
