MASON CITY, IA - It's a story we're hearing all too often, small town post offices shutting down because, financially they can't keep running.
Woden is the most recent town losing its post office. The town's Mayor, Kathy Brown tells us they tried making a petition and even meeting with post office officials. But brown says they just can’t keep their local mail spot.
"There's nothing to be done, it's inevitable we saw it coming they told us they may.”
The post office will close down after January 13th.
Woden will be considered a rural route.
