GARNER, IA - A local boy is lending a helping hand to a friend in need.
Fourth grader Dalton Miller is organizing a bake sale at his church. All proceeds from the sale will go to help a friend of Dalton's who lost their home in fire in Truro.
Dalton said planning the bake sale is a big job, but his friends are also eager to help out.
"Some of it's been pretty hard, but the rest of it's been okay. Most of the kids have been like 'Can I help, Can I help, Can I help,' so that's been really fun to hear," Dalton said.
The bake sale will be this Saturday morning from 10:00am until 12:30pm at United Methodist Church in Garner.
