Clear Lake, IA- The weather could be to blame for a fire at an area bar.
Folks at Rumorz in Clear Lake evacuated and called the fire department when they noticed smoke coming out of the ceiling.
It happened when severe weather rolled through the area Tuesday Afternoon.
The fire department found the source of the smoke in a blown out air conditioning unit. The bar's owner believes the damage could have been much worse.
"By the time the fire department came the had quite a bit of smoke in here so they got all their fans going and got it back out for us and we were back up and running in another hour," said Rumorz Co-Owner Katie Showalter.
The fire department says the air conditioner might have been overworked from the heat we've experience over the past week.
There is some minor damage in the bar itself.
