Judge Finds Blanchard Guilty
New Hampton, IA-A Nashua man faces life in prison for killing his newborn daughter.
Judge Richard Stochl handed down a guilty verdict Monday. Randy Blanchard is guilty of First Degree Murder and Child Endangerment.
The Judge is ruling Blanchard killed his daughter, Aliya by shaking her and slamming her head
Blanchard's family members were in tears as the verdicts were read.
His mother maintains he is innocent but prosecutors say the guilty verdict speaks for itself. Chickasaw County Attorney, Patrick Wegman, says the investigation only pointed to one person, Blanchard.
Blanchard will be sentenced May 5th. The First Degree Murder conviction carries a life sentence.
