MASON CITY, IA - An area department store is getting some big attention for making major changes in their prices.
JCPenney just changed their whole store pricing system. They're taking about 40% off their prices year round, and the company is also getting rid of cents and just posting full dollar amounts.
Local Penny's Manager Holly Kruger tells us the change is really getting shopper’s attention.
"Customers don't have to come at a certain time to get a certain deal, they don't have to remember to go home and get your coupon."
A local consignment shop tells us the change is good because when the big stores lower their prices, they mark down their costs as well, and less expensive items always bring in shoppers.
