An annual horse show is taking over one north Iowa community.
The 29th annual Britt Draft Horse Show is at the Hancock County Fairgrounds this weekend.
Horses from all over the U.S. and Canada will be shown. Teams compete in a number of different events. The show kicks off Friday morning at 7 a.m. and wraps up Sunday afternoon.
Organizers say it's one of the more unique horse shows in the country.
"It’s not your average horse show. These are 2,000 plus pound horses doing a ballet you might say. They're really neat to watch and if you ever come to it once you'll be back again," said Randel Hiscocks, president of the Britt Draft Horse Association.
About 200 horses will participate in this weekend's show, making it one of the largest draft horse hitch shows in North America.
