FOREST CITY, IOWA--One of the last remaining Holocaust survivors was in Forest City on Sunday.
Elane Norych Geller was in a concentration camp from age four to age eight. She was in-town to share her experience with students at Waldorf College in a convocation speech on Monday evening. She said she hopes to inspire students to make their world better. "I felt a need, for those that cannot speak, to explain to the world what happens when you pollute ethically and spiritually and morally," she said in an interview on Sunday.
Geller has spoken at the school before and received an honorary doctorate there last year. She said she'll keep returning as long as the school wants her.
