High School Cafeteria Gets Makeover
Staff and students at one southeastern Minnesota high school have reason to cheer.
Glenville-Emmons High School is the winner of $40 thousand dollars for a cafeteria makeover.
Food service workers filled out the contest paperwork and sent it to the sponsors; the Minnesota School Nutrition Association.
Staff members are excited finding out they won.
Food Service worker Diane Minear said, "You know I always wanted to win the lottery and in a way this is like winning the lottery for the school. so that's kind of the way I look at it. i mean what better way to give? i mean this is great."
Minear said the money will be divided amongst equipment, uniforms and addressing storage areas.
She said the kitchen is in definite need of a functional freezer. Currently she has to walk outside to get to it.
