Garner, IA- A US senator is working to keep his promise to visit every county in the state.
Iowa Republican Senator Charles Grassley's 99 county tour is bringing him to North Iowa.
We found him at Garner-Hayfield High School, giving these kids a first hand look at how the government works.
He says his first priority when he returns to Washington is health care. He's working with a Montana senator on helping the uninsured.
"He and I are trying to draw up a bipartisan amendment that will make healthcare affordable preserve the relationship between doctor and patient so government doesn't interfere with it," he said.
Grassley is touting his healthcare plan in Mason City on Thursday. He's speaking at the national "Divided We Fail" forum at NIACC.
