AUSTIN, MN - Folks in Southern Minnesota are casting their reels for a good cause.
The 10th Annual Fishing for a Cure Ice Fishing Tournament was held on Saturday. It's part of Austin's Paint the Town Pink campaign to raise awareness about breast cancer.
Organizers said it's a way for the community to have a little winter fun while supporting those dealing with the disease.
"The thing is that everybody can relate to cancer, because they know someone that's been affected by it," said organizer Duane Smith.
Proceeds from the competition go to the Hormel Institute for breast cancer research.
