EYOTA, MN—The Minnesota State Patrol is reporting 2 people are dead following a crash in Olmsted County.
The crash happened around 3:30 p.m. Thursday afternoon.
Investigators said a 2003 Ford van was Westbound on Highway 14, just east of the town of Eyota.
The driver of a Chevrolet Cavalier was Northbound on Country Road 7.
The State Patrol is reporting Jason Benton, 29, of Plainview was the driver of a Cavalier that stopped at a stop sign. He then drove into the intersection colliding with the center of the van.
Benton suffered a minor injury.
The van's driver, Steve Friese, 60, of Minnesota City was killed along with passenger Fay Friese, 67, of Arcadia, Wisconsin.
Two other passengers; Jenene Lobner, 69 of Arcadia, Wisconsin and Raymond Friese, 64, of Minnesota City suffered non life threatening injuries.
