BRITT, IA--
“He's kind of a jovial person, he's usually got a really good personality and easy going,” said Judy Weber, the sister of Jon Weiland. She described the father of three as both loving and funny.“Yeah he's always got a quip,” she said.The 43-year-old Britt man was last seen on December 19th in Walters, MN. There's been no sign of him or the pickup he was driving. Weber said he's not the kind of person to just disappear. “We know something's happened and so we just need everybody’s help to find him,” she said.
Weiland works for Monson and Sons, INC. in Britt. Weber said the company is helping with the family's search for him. “We searched up in Minnesota, the gravel roads too, West and North of there,” she said.
While the search continues, the family spent the holiday season in limbo, just waiting for any promising leads. “You can only cope day to day, and we do what we can and just hope that we hear some good news,” said Weber.
Now they're asking for your help. If you're a farmer or a snowmobiler or someone who knows the land in the Walters area, they're asking you to look for any sign of Jon. “People up there they know places that someone could drive off the road and not be seen from the road afterwards,” she said.
They're hoping that some day soon they'll find him. “Here's a man, he has three children and he's got four siblings and a mom and dad that want him home, want to find him and bring him home,” said Weber.
Again, they’re asking anyone in the Walters area of Freeborn County to search any place where someone could drive off the road and then go unnoticed.

Jon Weiland was last seen driving a pickup when he disappeared. It is described as a red, 2002, Dodge Dakota pickup. It featured an Iowa license plate with the number: 588-WOS.
