MASON CITY, IA- A Mason City park is okay for walking, but not driving.
East Park's roadway is damaged.
It is washed out from flooding and the city is working to repair it.
That's why they've closed the park to everyone but people on foot, but that isn't stopping folks from enjoying it
Operational Maintenance Manager William Stangler said, "I don't think it's a problem for the most part, may have to avoid a few ice chunks but the trails are actually in pretty good shape."
Bill Stangler says they will have the park fully open sometime next week.
