Dressing Up for the Job

ROCHESTER---A Halloween costume contest is allowing one charity to spread their mission of job placement.

The general manager for Rochester's Goodwill store said folks who dress up with Goodwill costumes are helping put people back to work.

The Minnesota stores are running a costume contest to raise money for job training.

Last year alone, Goodwills nationwide offered employment and training to more than a million people.

Jim Churchill, general manager of the Rochester store said, "People don't really know what the mission is all about, they think it's just retail and that's all. But they don't understand the money we're raising goes to some good for the community."

For the contest, folks need to find a costume at Goodwill, purchase it,

The winners get a Mac book, i-pod touch, or an i-pod nano.

and take a picture of it on, then put it online at their website by the first of November.

Iowa's goodwill stores are not holding a contest.
