High Speed Motorcycle Chase
Northwood, IA- The Worth County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a man who led deputies on a high speed chase Saturday night.
Chief Deputy Dan Fank says he responded to a call of a possible drunk driver near the Diamond Jo Casino on Wheelwood Road. There he found a motorcycle rider in the ditch near the driveway of a farmhouse.
Fank says when he turned on his lights the driver of the blue Suzuki sport bike or “crotch rocket” took off. He went north on Wheelwood Road to State Line Road where he then traveled west reaching speeds of more than 100 miles per hour. Just before reaching the town of Emmons, MN the suspect went north on 720th Avenue where deputies lost track of him.
The Sheriff’s office is now hoping of the public’s help. They say the suspect is a caucasian man, about six feet tall with brownish-blonde hair. He was wearing a white t-shirt and has an injury to his right arm that looks like “road-rash.” His motorcycle has Minnesota plates and is missing a rear turn signal.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Worth County Sheriff’s Department at 641-324-2481.
