GARNER, IA---A North Iowa man is sentenced for a voting law violation.
Philip Jeffery Oviatt of Forest City is pleading guilty to a charge of perjury.
Prosecutors said he gave false information to Hancock County poll workers on election day last November.
Oviatt claimed he lived in Hancock County, when in fact he lives in Winnebago County.
He is receiving 2 years probation and must pay a fine.
