Austin "Wolf" Update

AUSTIN, MN---A confiscated "wolf" is a dog after all.

Its owners said that testing done by animal control has revealed it is in fact a German shepherd.

The Dennison’s of Austin said they got what a person claimed was a *wolf* for free on Craigslist last month.

But Crystal Dennison's mother called authorities out of concern about their children and authorities took away the animal named: "Dakota."

Dennison said she and her husband Dustin wouldn't bring anything dangerous near their 2 kids.

She said Dakota was potty trained and they hoped the animal would teach their puppies how to do things right.

Since the excitement, Dennison said they have adopted out their two Rat Terrier puppies and figure that's what will happen to Dakota, even though they would love to have him back.

Dennison said she and her husband are animal lovers: "not mean and selfish, it's quite the opposite, we're not bad."

She is currently pregnant and planning to adopt guinea pigs in the future.
